Khadi and natural fabrics seem to be the mantra of the city’s designers, as they spin creations for this Independence Day

How about sporting a khadi outfit in hues of salmon pink or coral? Designer Mini Varkey Shibu of the fashion store MINC creates khadi ensembles which are in sync with the internation­al trends and forecast. “We follow the colours of the international fashion industry. The colours of the vegetable dyes are matched with the fashion forecast. Next week, we will have an asymmetrical line of outfits in tints of aqua,” said Mini. The styling is contemporary and the clothes reflect a western sen­sibility with an eastern influ­ence.
